Shouxu Qiao is an associate professor at the College of Nuclear Science and Technology, Harbin Engineering University (HEU). Dr. Qiao received his PhD degree in Nuclear Engineering from Penn State University (PSU), USA, in 2017, and his M.S. degree in Thermal Engineering from Xiu2019an Jiaotong University (XJTU) in 2013.
Dr. Qiao currently teaches 6 undergraduate and graduate courses. One of his courses is rated as the first-class provincial undergraduate course. His research interests include thermal-hydraulics and reactor safety, two-phase flow experiments and modeling, interfacial area transport modeling, and advanced single-phase and two-phase flow measurement techniques.
He has been the PI or co-PI of more than 20 national and provincial research projects including NSFC (Youth Fund), National Key R&D Programs, and provincial postdoctoral and youth talent programs, with total research funding exceeding 10 million RMB. He has published over 60 journal and conference papers (h-index 13), filed 7 patents, and delivered 5 invited talks at international symposia.
